America Jr. Pin-up

So I friend of Mr. Vokes, Todd Livingston, asked me to contribute a Saturday pin-up for his web-comic "America Jr." The strip is about a town that's four fathers had a limited contract with the US government to be in their union. Now the contract has expired and they are now their own nation. It's a great concept and funny! Here's my strip....enjoy. Click to enlarge.

Down but not out!

Well yesterday I found out that I didn't get into the 24 hour comic challenge anthology. I was extremely bummed out. However, I have decided to take this loss and turn it into victory. I'm redoing all the original 24 pages in illustrator and in color. After I've converted the first five pages and finished a cover, I plan on submitting to indie-friendly companies as a one-shot. So with any luck I won't have to self-publish this! Here's a little taste. Click to enlarge.

Variant Edition Thank You Piece

So at little while back, I planned on doing a little thank you piece for the guys at Variant Edition for all their support and help to get the word out about my comic, Convention Confessional. Now I might change this, I'm not sure if I'm entirely satisfied with it. I was going for that Beatles' "Hard Days Night" ablum cover. Click to enlarge.

Comedy ensues...

So here's a few photos of what you missed on Tuesday night. I had a blast many thanks to Alex, Pete & Justin for having me as well as Mike, Brian, Ben, Ziggy for making the trip from NJ to hang! I'll be in the city again next Wednesday to do another interview, I think it's for TV. Anyways, other updates, I will be doing a signing at Midtown Comics for the release of the new book sometime in Late January / Early February with Neil Vokes (Wicked West 2 artist), Bryan Glass (Magician Apprentise writer) and possibly Mike Oeming (Powers artist/creator). So look for further updates.

Rob Reilly Sketchbook?

So I've been struggling with the idea of putting out a sketchbook or not. So let my squash the rumors, yes, I have decided to put one out for the upcoming year. It have a nice color cover and about 16 or so black and white or grey sketches. Count on most of them being convention sketches but I will be throwing in a few gems from my own personal sketchbook. I think the price range will be about $3-5 per book. But it'll be a very small run of 100 or so. This is my test run to see if these babies fly. If they do the next one will be much bigger and better. Let me know if anyone is interested and I will put them aside for you when you see my at the next con or wanna send me $$ in the mail then I will ship it out ASAP.
